ABSTRACT: The impact of blockchain technology on vocational education credentials is pivotal in enhancing the credibility, security, and accessibility of educational qualifications. This study aimed to assess how blockchain technology improves the validation and verification of vocational credentials, examine the impact on student and employer trust, and evaluate overall satisfaction with blockchain-integrated credential systems. A survey design was selected to gather extensive data from participants involved in blockchain-based credentialing. The sample size included 200 students and 50 employers engaged with vocational training institutions. Purposive sampling ensured the selection of participants with direct experience in blockchain credentialing. The case study was conducted at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. Findings indicated that blockchain technology significantly increased the security and authenticity of vocational credentials, enhanced trust among employers, and streamlined the verification process. Students and employers expressed high levels of satisfaction with the system, highlighting its efficiency and reliability. It was recommended that vocational training institutions adopt blockchain technology for credentialing and collaborate with industry stakeholders to standardize the system.
